Refund policy

This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through Lakestone.ca (the “Site”), operated by Lakestone Vodka (“Lakestone”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable Canadian consumer protection laws.

1. Age restriction

The Site is accessible only to individuals of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction.

Products and content relating to alcoholic beverage culture are intended solely for responsible adult audiences.

2. Digital products

2.1 Nature of Digital Products

Digital products include, but are not limited to:

  • Ebooks

  • Guides

  • Downloadable files

  • Online-access content

All digital products are delivered electronically.

2.2 Final Sale Policy

Due to the intangible and non-returnable nature of digital products:

All digital product purchases are final and non-refundable once:

  • The product has been delivered electronically; or

  • Access has been granted; or

  • A download link has been made available.

By completing a digital purchase, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:

  • Delivery may begin immediately upon payment confirmation;

  • You waive any right of withdrawal or cancellation to the fullest extent permitted by law;

  • You understand that digital products cannot be returned.

2.3 Technical Issues

If you experience a technical issue preventing access to your purchased digital product, you must contact us within 7 days of purchase.

Lakestone will provide reasonable assistance to re-deliver or restore access where appropriate.

Failure to access a digital product due to device incompatibility, outdated software, or user error does not entitle the purchaser to a refund.

2.4 Unauthorized Distribution & Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback after successful delivery of a digital product without first attempting resolution with us may constitute misuse of payment systems.

Lakestone reserves the right to:

  • Suspend access to digital products;

  • Revoke digital licenses;

  • Contest improper chargebacks;

  • Recover administrative costs where legally permitted.

3. Physical products (print-on-demand merchandise)

Physical merchandise sold on the Site is produced on demand and fulfilled by third-party partners, including Printful.

Because products are custom-produced upon order, we do not accept returns or exchanges except as outlined below.

3.1 Eligible Claims

We will offer a replacement (or refund where replacement is not possible) only if:

  • The product arrives damaged;

  • The product is defective;

  • The wrong product was delivered.

3.2 Claim Procedure

To submit a claim, you must contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery and provide:

  • Your order number;

  • Clear photographic evidence of the issue;

  • A description of the problem.

Failure to provide adequate documentation may result in denial of the claim.

3.3 Non-Returnable Situations

We do not accept returns or provide refunds for:

  • Buyer’s remorse;

  • Incorrect size, color, or style selection;

  • Minor variations in print or color;

  • Normal wear and tear;

  • Digital products;

  • Gift cards (if offered).

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless required by law.

4. Shipping-related issues

If tracking indicates that a package was delivered but you have not received it:

  • You must contact the carrier directly; and

  • Notify us within 7 days of the delivery confirmation date.

Lakestone is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage occurring after confirmed delivery, except where required by law.

5. Refund method

Where a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method;

  • Processing times may vary depending on the financial institution;

  • Lakestone is not responsible for delays caused by banks or payment processors.

6. Statutory rights

Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit or exclude any consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable Manitoba or Canadian consumer protection legislation.

Where mandatory consumer protection laws apply, they will prevail over any conflicting provision of this Policy.

7. Modifications

Lakestone reserves the right to amend this Return & Refund Policy at any time.

The updated version will be posted on the Site with a revised “Last updated” date.

Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
